]]> This samurai hat is one of the oldest origami models around, and a wonderful introduction to the beginning folds in origami.  Fortunately it is also a very forgiving model, so even though you should always strive to be as careful and accurate as possible, it is ok if the first couple folds aren’t exactly perfect.  It is always a good idea to go back and practice making better models once you know how the entire model is made.  In fact, this is an important concept for any origami model you are folding: strive to do your best, but know that the first time you fold anything, it won’t be perfect.
