Author: Satoshi Kamiya
Born on June 6, 1981 in Nagoya City in the Aichi Prefecture Kamiya joined the Origami Tanteidan (now the Origami Society of Japan) at the age of 12. Shocked by the super difficult origami works at the time, he started work on his own designs. In 1999, at the age of 17, he won the 3rd season of the TV show “Origami Championship”, which he has now won 5 times in a row. He has been studying origami in the U.S. since 2000 and continued to deepen his relationships with local artists and enthusiasts.
